Well worth a visit for garden-lovers is Aberglasney Gardens – just 6 minutes’ drive from Lan Chalet. https://aberglasney.org We spent a relaxing couple of hours strolling around the gardens in the sun this morning.
The vegetable gardens were particularly inspiring – heavily-laden espalier apple trees grown as a low border surrounding the ‘vegetable and fruit’ patch filled with masses of strawberry plants and rhubarb.
The rose garden was spectacular, and smelt amazing. We enjoyed exploring the meandering paths, and the rose-covered walkway was a real treat. We found a secluded bench and spent a lovely few minutes just breathing in the delicate perfume and soaking up the sun.

We didn’t have time to look around everywhere, but we bought a season ticket so we will be regular visitors over the next 12 months to soak up inspiration for our own gardens.
