We keep a small flock of Shetland sheep for fleeces. Although we kept livestock for many years when we had a farm, this is a new venture for us on the smallholding here at Lan. We are very much beginners in the world of fleeces and it is interesting to find out about the challenges of fleece and wool production – and how these differ from keeping livestock for other reasons. More about this in future posts, but for now here are some photos of our first sheep:<\/p>\n
